About the position

The Interior Designer position at Highline Construction involves managing the interior design process from proposal to completion, creating personalized designs for residential projects, and collaborating with clients and the design team. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the company's mission of enriching the lives of employees, clients, and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and manage the interior design process from proposal to completion.
  • Create unique and personalized designs for each project.
  • Work with clients and project designers to select all interior finishes and produce accurate renderings and details for production staff.
  • Coordinate with the design and planning team during the planning phase.
  • Coordinate details with relevant subcontractors regarding items such as fireplaces, handrails, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, and tile selections.
  • Acquire pricing during the estimating process for interior finishes.
  • Order, track, and receive product inventory for each project.
  • Participate in bi-weekly meetings to ensure established goals are met.
  • Help establish operating procedures to simplify and enhance job functions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the residential interior design industry, with cabinet design experience being a plus.
  • Experience with 20/20, Revit, Google Suite, and Microsoft Suite (preferred, not required).
  • Ability to create and adhere to standardized processes.
  • Initiative to help oneself and others thrive.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow basic checklists and standardized processes with minimal direction.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong personal communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy and forward-thinking.
