About the position

The Interior Designer at Pacaso will be responsible for conducting interior design work for new and existing homes in the Pacaso portfolio. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of design projects while adhering to the company's design standards. The designer will develop unique concepts, manage design refreshes, and support the expansion strategy into new markets, all while maintaining a focus on high-end residential and hospitality design.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interior design work (FF&E) for new homes in the Pacaso portfolio from concept to delivery.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet production timelines and deliver on brand promises.
  • Conduct design work for existing Pacasos, including sourcing replacement FF&E and leading full-home design refreshes.
  • Develop unique concept and schematic designs and present them in an elegant visual format for sales collateral.
  • Conduct remote property reviews and collaborate on budget, schedule, and owner requests.
  • Adhere to Pacaso design standards around aesthetics, functionality, and owner experience.
  • Develop smart design solutions balancing standards, cost, and product availability.
  • Support the Supply Chain team in developing strategies to enhance design quality and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the expansion strategy into new markets and mitigate risks with cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Sourcing to define criteria for FF&E and build vendor partnerships.
  • Work with Marketing to create content that drives brand recognition and value.
  • Serve as an external brand ambassador at conferences and design events.
  • Partner with local Market Operations and logistics teams for installation support and staging.
  • Support the development of junior designers through training and skill-sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interiors or Architecture (NCIDQ / CID preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in high-end residential and/or hospitality design.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with concept development, schematics, and design development.
  • Outstanding design presentation skills and experience in creating high-level graphic client presentations.
  • Experience coordinating with interior finish and furniture vendors with established vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of furniture, architecture, and current design trends.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required; proficiency in SketchUp Pro and Rhino preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and G-Suite programs required; proficiency in Excel a plus.
