About the position

HGA is seeking a talented and innovative Interior Designer to join their San Francisco office. This role involves collaborating with architectural and interior design teams to develop design solutions, manage project documentation, and mentor junior designers. The position requires a strong understanding of interior design concepts and technical processes, particularly in healthcare and corporate environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architectural and interior design teams to develop the interior design direction.
• Translate complex programming requirements into design solutions.
• Research materials and concepts to support design team on technical issues.
• Participate in project interviews with marketing and business development teams.
• Prioritize tasks and coordinate documentation from initial design phase to project completion.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members.
• Mentor other team members and interior designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Interior Design / Interior Architecture program.
• 7+ years of interior design experience, preferably in Healthcare and Public | Corporate sectors.
• Professional licensure and/or certification required.
• Proficiency in Revit and experience with 3D tools such as Enscape.
• Fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with space planning and technical skills including 3D visualization, design detailing, and construction documentation.
