About the position

Kahler Slater is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join their national healthcare team, focusing on delivering master planning and design services for acute care, ambulatory care, and pediatric environments. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and team members to create functional and efficient interior spaces that meet the unique requirements of medical practice and patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare design, regulatory guidelines, and best practices, and will be passionate about translating client goals into effective design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams in all phases of service in the development and communication of design intent.
  • Inspire, motivate, and lead project team in client service, design approach, and project delivery.
  • Establish an environment that encourages experimentation, innovation, and design creativity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Interior Design or Architecture
  • 6+ years of experience on projects, with increasing responsibilities
  • Experience in healthcare building typologies
  • Strong communication skills, spoken, written, and graphic
  • Ability to develop interior design concepts, renderings, and materials boards
  • Ability to work in Revit, Enscape, & Adobe Creative Suite
  • Skilled in FF&E selection
  • Evidence of successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviors
  • Effective time management with multiple deadlines
  • Maintains a positive, professional attitude
  • Registered Interior Designer or career goal of becoming a registered Interior Designer

Nice-to-haves
