About the position

We are seeking a talented and highly organized Interior Designer to join our small architecture and interior design firm. This role involves selecting finishes, creating high-quality renderings, and ensuring the seamless execution of design projects from start to finish. The designer will work closely with clients to understand their vision and collaborate with contractors and vendors to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Selection of high-quality finishes and materials for residential and commercial projects
  • Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and high-quality 3D renderings using Revit and other design software
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including specifications and timelines
  • Provide outstanding client communication throughout the project, from concept to completion
  • Ability to design across multiple styles (modern, traditional, transitional, etc.)
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality
  • Work closely with vendors and contractors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Assist in managing the project schedule and follow through to ensure milestones are met
  • Design floor plans for new residential construction and renovations
  • Create digital design and physical material boards

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen and must live in the Chattanooga, TN area and be able to work in person at the office on Signal Mountain, TN
  • Must have 2-4 years of experience, preferred 4-6 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program
  • Proficiency in Revit and Excel is required
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketchup is a plus
  • Ability to produce high-quality 3D renderings (knowledge of rendering software such as Lumion is a plus)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Excellent client communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Flexibility to design for multiple design styles (must be adaptable and open to different aesthetics)
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Previous experience in high-end residential and small commercial design projects is preferred
  • Ability to manage time on projects and use time efficiently

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketchup
  • Knowledge of rendering software such as Lumion
