About the position

As an Interior Designer at DutchCrafters, you will leverage your expertise in commercial and residential design to enhance customer experiences by guiding them through the furniture purchasing process. This role emphasizes creativity and customer advocacy, allowing you to help clients create beautiful and functional spaces with Amish and American-made furniture. You will be part of a collaborative team that values individual contributions and fosters a culture of growth and recognition.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and understand their needs to provide exceptional service while maximizing sales.
• Build lasting relationships by educating customers on furniture options and exceeding their expectations with excellent care and communication.
• Collaborate with team members to process orders, manage leads, and ensure a seamless post-sale experience.
• Participate in in-home consultations to assess client needs and provide personalized design recommendations.
• Serve as the primary contact for local B2B orders, driving client engagement and managing order execution.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of customer interactions in a retail environment to enhance merchandising and showroom design.
• Contribute to the company's blog and social media by providing design tips and trends.
• Represent the company at local networking events to increase brand awareness.
• Coach and train staff on design solutions to ensure strong competencies.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Arts in interior design and relevant work experience as an interior designer.
• Ability to draw, read, and edit blueprints considering various design elements.
• Passion and proven knowledge of interior design, retail sales, and space planning.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and room planning software.
• Detail-oriented, multi-tasker, and creative with a flexible schedule.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience in interior design (preferred).
