About the position

As an Interior Designer at Populous, you will be part of a dynamic and creative environment where you will provide design and documentation across all aspects of the interiors process. Your role will involve working on a variety of media formats, with a strong emphasis on hospitality design. You will be expected to demonstrate creative design thinking, spatial and environmental design ability, branding development, story creation, and a graphic design sensibility. Your responsibilities will include managing multiple concurrent projects, showcasing resilience in a fast-paced environment, and confidently interacting with clients while leading presentations and collaborative sessions. You will need to build trust and partnerships with clients and direct large consultant teams effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for producing high-quality conceptual designs and presentations, utilizing your strong organizational and technical expertise. You will be expected to express concepts in captivating ways through superior visual, written, and spoken communication skills. Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to work under demanding conditions. You will also need to possess strong sketching and freehand drawing skills, as the ability to create quick sketches to convey ideas is critical to the role. Essential qualifications for this position include a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture, along with NCIDQ certification and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required, along with rendering experience in both computer and freehand formats. This role may require occasional travel and overtime, reflecting the dynamic nature of the projects you will be involved in.

Requirements

  • Creative design thinking and spatial design ability.
  • Strong conceptual design and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong sketching and freehand drawing skills.
