About the position

Rockwell Interiors is a high-end residential and boutique hospitality interior design firm located in Solana Beach, CA. We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer who possesses strong technical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of construction. The ideal candidate will be creative, with a keen eye for beautiful finishes, and will know how to integrate these elements within a space to create an elevated and cohesive aesthetic. This role requires the ability to design high-end, unique, and highly-custom interiors, as well as a passion for sourcing high-style furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF+E). The candidate should be knowledgeable, resourceful, and familiar with various trade partners and product lines. The successful applicant must hold a degree in Interior Design and have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field. They should be eager and capable of managing multiple responsibilities, including designing elevated spaces, drafting construction documents (CDs) in AutoCAD, modeling in SketchUp, sourcing finishes, and creating professional presentations. Proficiency in Photoshop and social media management is a plus. The candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated, and a team player, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position will involve daily drafting and design work in AutoCAD and SketchUp, and the candidate must be well-versed in CD drafting, custom shop drawings, and creating high-quality 3D models and digital presentations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the design, architecture, and construction industries, ideally an interior designer who enjoys technical thinking and design, sourcing unique furniture, lighting, décor, and finishes. Requirements
