About the position

The Interior Designer will play a crucial role in supporting all phases of a design project's lifecycle, collaborating closely with the Principal and clients to create compelling and meaningful designs. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for design, who is eager to learn and grow while guiding clients to their dream spaces.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead projects from the conceptual design phase through final execution, acting as the main point of contact with clients and necessary trades.
• Collaborate with the principal on the overall vision of each assigned project.
• Prepare client presentations using creative sourcing and advanced visualization techniques.
• Provide design leadership, evaluating design options based on client-driven criteria and feedback.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, fabricators, artisans, and developers on multiple projects.
• Attend, document, and distribute meeting minutes for client and/or site meetings.
• Field survey existing site conditions and client furnishings.
• Work closely with the team to deliver beautiful spaces with a high level of service.
• Responsible for material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, and project documentation.
• Assist with project installations, final punch lists, and photoshoots.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in interior design or architectural design.
• Degree from an accredited school.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), SketchUp, Asana, and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with high profile clientele.
• Sharp problem-solving, analytic, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized.

Nice-to-haves

• Hand-sketching skills is a plus.
• Experience executing the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Sourcing, Procurement, and Installation.
