About the position

As an Interior Designer/Design Consultant in our Boca Raton showroom, you will play a crucial role in helping clients transform their spaces into beautiful and functional environments. Your primary responsibility will be to conceptualize and create visually stunning interior designs while developing a solid client base. You will work closely with customers in our well-appointed retail showrooms, providing them with personalized design solutions that reflect their individuality. In this role, you will prepare design presentations tailored to each project, utilizing various visual media such as fabrics, finishes, photos, and floor plans. You will also be responsible for providing accurate measurements to our CAD team and utilizing room planner programs or CAD assistance for studio presentations. Your ability to handle sales functions efficiently will be essential, as you will process sales transactions, returns, and special orders, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete. As a team player, you will have the opportunity to mentor design assistants and collaborate with management, customer service, and office support staff. Your strong eye for detail and understanding of design principles, color, and texture will be vital in creating spaces that not only meet but exceed client expectations. You will project a positive company image and establish good interpersonal relations with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one with customers in the showroom to understand their design needs.
  • Prepare design presentations using visual media including fabric, finishes, photos, and floor plans.
  • Provide accurate measurements to the CAD team for presentations.
  • Utilize room planner programs or CAD assistance for studio presentations to clients.
  • Handle sales functions efficiently, including processing transactions and returns.
  • Complete sales records and reports accurately.
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relations with clients.
  • Project a positive company image to the public.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or 2 to 4 years of related experience in high-end furniture sales.
  • ASID certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills required.
  • Experience with CAD and moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver License with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation with verification of minimum state required car insurance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Solid math abilities.
