About the position

RCF Group is a Best in Class furniture dealer seeking talented Interior Designers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess an Interior Design degree and demonstrate a strong orientation towards both teamwork and client satisfaction. As an Interior Designer, you will have the opportunity to work independently or collaboratively with colleagues to create and present innovative design concepts. We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented, self-motivated individuals who are curious and possess exceptional communication and follow-through skills. This role encompasses a full range of creative and technical duties, making it essential for candidates to have a keen sense of design and innovative thinking. In this position, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive floor plans that utilize commercial furniture, writing detailed specifications, and selecting appropriate finishes. You will create engaging design presentations and effectively communicate your designs to clients, both virtually and in person. A solid understanding of materials, including textiles, flooring, paints, and wall coverings, is crucial. Additionally, you will assist with bid or proposal responses by assembling necessary collateral materials and maintain communication throughout the design and installation process. Your role will also involve field measuring and documenting job site conditions, participating in Live Design sessions with clients, and ensuring that project budgets are adhered to through informed decision-making. Professional communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential, as is a commitment to staying informed about building codes, ADA compliance, and space planning. Continuous professional development through seminars, trainings, vendor meetings, trade shows, and other industry events is encouraged. You will need to work within client deadlines for pricing and other deliverables, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Occasional travel for client-based needs may also be required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop floor plans utilizing commercial furniture along with writing detailed specifications and selecting finishes.
  • Create design presentations and communicate designs to clients both virtually and in person.

  • Maintain communication throughout the design and installation process.
  • Field measure and document job site conditions.
  • Participate in Live Design sessions with clients both in office and at client sites.
  • Work with project budget to ensure on-budget decision-making.
  • Maintain professional communication skills and work ethic both internally and externally, both verbally and written.
  • Continue to grow in the field through seminars, trainings, vendor meetings, trade shows, and other industry events.
  • Work within client deadlines for pricing and other tangible items.

Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Interior Design required
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • 1 year of experience in interior design
  • Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills, unquestionable integrity, and confidence

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience in Project Matrix and CET software
  • Commercial Interiors background preferred, but not required
