About the position

Scott Rice Office Works is seeking an Interior Designer to create engaging and tailored interior spaces for a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. The role involves working independently and collaboratively to develop creative solutions, manage the design process from consultation to implementation, and engage in business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to gather information and develop relationships.
• Provide full-service interior design services, including custom solutions.
• Perform field measurements and inventory products.
• Conduct product research and contact vendors for pricing and information.
• Specify furniture and select finishes based on final layouts.
• Produce and present design concepts to customers.
• Generate, organize, and maintain CAD/CET files.
• Produce furniture floor plans, space plans, finish palettes, and installation drawings.
• Draw, revise, and plot design drawings.
• Develop validation packages and spreadsheets.
• Prepare design proposals and estimate budgetary hours.
• Manage and monitor project hours.
• Attend and engage in industry events and develop professional networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• 3 years of experience in the Interior Design field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; CET, Revit, SketchUp, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro knowledge is optimal but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with system furniture products is a plus.
• Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) or National Architecture Board (NAB) accreditation preferred.
