Widmer Interiors, a prominent MillerKnoll office furniture dealership, is seeking a full-time Interior Designer/Project Administrator for our Peoria, IL location. This role is integral to our mission of delivering innovative and functional interior spaces tailored to the needs of our diverse clientele, which includes business, healthcare, education, and government sectors across Central and Northern Illinois. As an Interior Designer/Project Administrator, you will work collaboratively within a team environment to create exceptional interior furniture spaces that align with our clients' visions. This position is ideal for technical designers who take pride in their attention to detail and enjoy space planning. In addition to your design responsibilities, you will also assist with various marketing and administrative tasks, including event planning, compiling a monthly newsletter, and creating engaging social media content. This multifaceted role offers a unique opportunity to blend creativity with project management and marketing skills. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, a strong ability to collaborate with team members, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Proficiency in space planning using CET (3D design software) and drafting building shells in AutoCAD is essential. You will also be responsible for creating product specifications and proposals, which are critical components of the design process. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, and prior experience with office furniture space planning and specification is highly desirable.
