About the position

The Senior Interior Designer at Ford Motor Company will play a crucial role in shaping the future of electric vehicle design. This position involves working on both advanced and production interior projects, focusing on creating innovative and compelling interior design experiences. The designer will collaborate with various teams to ensure a holistic approach to design, integrating human-centered design principles and addressing connectivity and mobility challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and production-based interior solutions through sketches, renderings, and 3D digital models.
• Create compelling and innovative interior design experiences for design projects.
• Explore human-centered design experiences with an emphasis on holistic interior design.
• Coordinate the work of other design personnel to achieve cohesive design visions.
• Create future brand-focused design visions that align with Ford's strategic goals.
• Engage in problem-solving around topics of connectivity, mobility, and consumer segments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial design, Transportation Design, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of automotive or transportation design experience, including final design product execution.
• 1+ years of experience translating 2D to 3D designs with a strong emphasis on proportions and refined form.
• A design portfolio (pdf) must be provided upon application.
