About the position

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our luxury design firm, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects, collaborate with clients, and bring your creative vision to life. This role involves designing innovative spaces, engaging with clients, and working closely with a team to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of innovative design projects from concept through completion, ensuring each space reflects the client's vision.
  • Create compelling design presentations that effectively communicate your ideas.
  • Collaborate with senior designers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Build positive relationships with clients by understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in presenting design concepts.
  • Address client feedback professionally and incorporate it into the design process.
  • Work closely with team members to foster a creative environment.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions that encourage innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Support junior designers by sharing knowledge and insights.
  • Produce high-quality design documentation, including plans, elevations, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, materials, and technologies.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to support project execution.
  • Help coordinate procurement processes for materials and furnishings.
  • Participate in site visits to oversee installations and ensure design integrity.
  • Support quality control processes to ensure all deliverables meet our firm's standards.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks during the design process and develop strategies to address them.
  • Engage in ongoing learning opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge within the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in residential interior design
  • Proficiency in design software including Revit
  • Familiarity with building codes, ADA compliance, and sustainable design principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
