About the position

We are seeking an energetic Interior Designer to join our team, focusing on a variety of projects in commercial offices, healthcare, and higher education spaces. This role involves a comprehensive approach to design, starting from initial programming and space planning to generating detailed CAD drawings and specifications. The Designer will also be responsible for coordinating furniture finish plans and making recommendations that align with the client's vision and requirements. Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed space planning drawings according to customer specifications.
  • Design proposal specifications using AutoCAD and other design-specific programs.
  • Analyze customer sketches, specifications, and drawings to determine space planning needs.
  • Manage resource allocations, project oversight, and post-project follow-ups.
  • Create color boards and presentation packages when necessary.
  • Develop and coordinate project timelines.
  • Develop project quotes, cost out customer revisions and orders.
  • Manage department Excel spreadsheets.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc management reports.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience working with a commercial furniture dealership is a must.
  • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or other design programs.
  • Detail-oriented and a self-directed problem solver.
  • Creative talent, imagination, and an eye for commercial office design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in Interior Design.
  • Portfolio of previous works is a plus.
