Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Interior Designer with a Top-Secret Clearance to support KTS and our government customer in Washington, DC. The Interior Designer will act as the primary contact between our office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). This role requires essential multi-discipline team representation and demands a self-motivated, well-organized, design-oriented, and customer-focused individual. The position involves directing the implementation of projects through all phases of design, including programming, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development, as well as construction documentation and administration when warranted. The Interior Designer will manage and coordinate schedules, hours, and work output with multiple in-house disciplines and/or consultants. They will monitor established standards and guidelines to ensure that projects comply with scope, schedule, and budget. Building and maintaining client relationships, both existing and new, is crucial. The designer will work closely with Design Principals and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the globe to advocate for an inter-disciplinary design approach and promote integrated design philosophy across the firm. In addition to leading programming efforts and developing associated deliverables, the designer will oversee multiple significant or large-scale projects. They will be responsible for planning and programming the layout of projects, coordinating and integrating all other discipline elements into a unified design for client review and approval. The role also includes conducting periodic on-site observations of work during construction to monitor compliance with detailed design documents and preparing client project presentations, studies, and reports. The designer will participate in new project pursuits and engage with current clients to identify and curate opportunities for continued or additional services, potentially leading to new client relationships and pursuits. Utilizing computer-assisted design software and equipment, the designer will prepare project designs and plans, with periodic travel to construction sites anticipated. The position requires interaction with all levels of management internally and with external personnel and clients.
