About the position

Chirigos Designs, Inc. is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join their boutique residential design firm in Wayzata, MN. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated individual to work closely with top builders and clients in the Twin Cities. The designer will be responsible for managing projects from the conceptual stage through to final installation, collaborating directly with the principal of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Support principal with all aspects of projects
• Conduct client meetings and concept presentations
• Perform on-site measurements and take photos with Design Assistant
• Create floor plans, color and material schemes
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Produce CAD drawings and hand sketches as needed
• Prepare documentation and manage Design Assistant for product details and specifications
• Coordinate with the Expeditor to ensure timely ordering and receipt of items for installations
• On-site coordination with clients, builders, architects, and subcontractors
• Assist in the management of the Design Assistant
• Maintain a current style sense and create unique designs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or 3-4 years of proven success in a design firm
• Strong capabilities in overseeing projects from concept to final installation
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
• Proficiency in construction drawings, codes, materials, furniture, and finish selections
• Proficiency in CAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, Excel, and Canva
• Knowledge of project management systems, preferably Asana
• Familiarity with Studio Designer and other design purchasing software
• Professional, reliable, and punctual demeanor
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills
• Well-developed delegation skills
• Clear speaking voice with a pleasant and professional presence
• Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle

• Experience with Studio Designer
