About the position

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team at Modern Haven Homes, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for residential and commercial clients. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs, developing design concepts, and overseeing project execution.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget.
• Create detailed design plans, including layouts, color schemes, furniture selection, and décor elements.
• Oversee all phases of design projects, from initial concept to final installation.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends, materials, and technologies.
• Source and select furnishings, fixtures, and materials that align with the client's vision.
• Utilize space planning principles to create functional layouts that maximize space efficiency while adhering to building codes and safety regulations.
• Prepare project budgets and ensure adherence throughout the design process.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing design concepts and addressing any concerns or adjustments needed.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess challenges, and ensure the design is being executed as planned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Interior Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification from a recognized design institution (e.g., NCIDQ) is a plus.
