About the position

The Interior Designer at Guidon Design is responsible for creating innovative and functional interior environments that align with client needs and the firm's commitment to sustainability. This role involves guiding the design process from concept through completion, ensuring projects enhance user experience and meet regulatory standards. The designer will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to core markets such as healthcare, VA, science & technology, and housing, while fostering a collaborative design culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptually design new building and renovation projects.
  • Support Architects and Engineers during the design process.
  • Attend client meetings and design review meetings.
  • Develop construction documents and design details.
  • Create interior presentations and visual content to convey designs.
  • Conduct on-site construction administration and site inspections to assess work quality.
  • Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary project team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design.
  • NCIDQ certification is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in interior design.
  • Strong experience working in Revit.
  • Detailed understanding of design software such as Photoshop, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Enscape.
  • Ability to produce high-quality architectural construction documents for commercial buildings.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare-related projects is a plus.
  • LEED accreditation or the ability to earn it is strongly desired.
  • Desire to grow professionally and work towards certifications.
