Your role will include performing interior design duties related to programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. You will determine and satisfy building code and sustainability requirements, select and specify interior finishes, furniture, lighting, artwork, and interior signage. Additionally, you will produce presentation graphics in the form of drawings, sketches, 3D models, and renderings to appropriately convey design vision to clients and end users. You will generate interior construction documents including finish plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules. Coordination with the design and construction team, consultants, vendors, and owners will be essential. You will also participate in field verification, site inspections, shop drawing review, and other related construction administration activities, collaborating with other interior design staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior design duties related to programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Determine and satisfy building code and sustainability requirements.
  • Select and specify interior finishes, furniture, lighting, artwork, and interior signage.
  • Produce presentation graphics in the form of drawings, sketches, 3D models, and renderings to convey design vision to clients and end users.
  • Generate interior construction documents including finish plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with the design and construction team, consultants, vendors, and owners.
  • Participate in field verification, site inspections, shop drawing review, and other related construction administration activities.
  • Collaborate with other interior design staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school with 5-8 years of interior design experience.
  • Federal project experience is highly preferred.
  • NCIDQ Certification is required and sustainability credentials such as LEED AP or WELL AP preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit and knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, 3ds Max, Rhino, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
