About the position

Mogul Motion Hospitality, based in Miami, Florida, is seeking an experienced Interior Designer for an exciting new speakeasy project inspired by the elegance and charm of the 1920s. This role is pivotal in bringing to life a sophisticated atmosphere characterized by a rich color palette of black, gold, and emerald green within a 400-square-foot space. The selected designer will lead the design and renovation process from concept to completion, ensuring that the final product aligns with the company's vision of creating unforgettable experiences in hospitality. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing comprehensive design plans that reflect the speakeasy's theme, selecting high-quality materials and furnishings, and coordinating with contractors to ensure timely completion of the project. This position requires a strong understanding of vintage and elegant design styles, as well as the ability to blend classic elements with modern touches. The designer will also leverage their connections with local vendors to source unique decor elements that enhance the overall aesthetic of the venue. This project is expected to last between 8 to 10 weeks, with an immediate start date. The designer will work closely with the ownership team to incorporate feedback and ensure that the final design meets their expectations, all while managing the project budget effectively. This role is not just about aesthetics; it is about creating an immersive experience that captivates guests and leaves a lasting impression.

Responsibilities

• Create a comprehensive design plan that reflects the theme of the speakeasy, utilizing the specified color palette.
• Utilize a network of local vendors to source materials, furniture, lighting, and decor that align with the project's aesthetic and quality standards.
• Oversee the renovation and installation process, coordinating with contractors to ensure all work is completed within the 8-10 week timeline.
• Manage the project budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or design integrity.
• Work closely with the ownership team to incorporate feedback and ensure the final design meets their vision and expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing projects in the hospitality or luxury sectors, particularly themed environments.
• Proven relationships with local vendors, craftsmen, and suppliers in Miami.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong project management skills and an eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and work collaboratively with clients and contractors.
