Elementum Interiors is seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join their dynamic team in Columbia, South Carolina. This part-time, contract position is ideal for individuals with 2-3 years of experience in interior design, particularly within the hospitality sector. The role involves collaborating with senior designers and project managers to create exceptional spaces that align with client visions and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior designers and project managers on hospitality projects.
• Create and present design concepts, mood boards, and visual presentations for client approval.
• Develop detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, and specifications.
• Source and select materials, furnishings, and finishes that align with project goals and budgets.
• Conduct site visits to ensure design intent is implemented accurately during construction.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and vendors throughout project phases.
• Stay updated on design trends and innovations within the hospitality industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from an accredited university.
• 2-3 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in the hospitality sector.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, color theory, and materials.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel for project site visits and client meetings.
