About the position

The Interior Designer at Fluid Interiors is responsible for providing design services specifically tailored to healthcare customers. This role involves utilizing professional design knowledge to create functional and aesthetically pleasing workspaces, ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate plans and specifications. The designer collaborates closely with various teams and clients to deliver high-quality project implementations while adhering to the company's core values of genuineness, curiosity, creativity, commitment, and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Attend client planning meetings and present plans for review and approvals.
  • Review site and conduct field measurements.
  • Live design with clients alongside an Account Executive.
  • Inventory existing products and produce as-built drawings/specifications.
  • Clarify scope and expectations through programming analysis and user interviews.
  • Develop and present block and space plans to gain customer approvals.
  • Create working drawings for specifications and installation.
  • Prepare product specifications and ensure accuracy against plans.
  • Conduct field and punch-list reviews with the installation group.
  • Understand project financial information and profitability.
  • Monitor design hours to ensure efficiency and adherence to estimates.
  • Collaborate with clients and third-party firms, including A&D firms and contractors.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in interior design required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract furniture design with a healthcare background is highly preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and willing to take initiative.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Experience with contract furniture processes, including order preparation and project management.
