About the position

The Interior DryWall Estimator is a senior-level position responsible for estimating and establishing budgets for drywall projects. This role requires a strong understanding of project management, including CPM scheduling and contract compliance, while also managing and training junior estimators. The estimator will work closely with clients, architects, and operations to ensure successful project execution and maintain accurate reporting to management.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and establish budgets and contract price (GMP/Lump Sum)
• Understand CPM Schedule and Durations
• Develop and maintain good relationships with Owners, Architects, and Clients
• Work with operations to develop unit rates and safety plans
• Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management
• Manage and train junior estimators
• Organize regular meetings for management
• Review contract conditions vs. estimated budgets for compliance with all contract terms
• Supervise documentation of all RFIs and post-bid reviews
• Direct preconstruction services and activities to facilitate turnover to operations
• Assist with business development and participate in job interviews
• Support operation staff (bid item specialist)
• Complete all pre-award paperwork and documentation
• Conduct bid follow-up with clients and post-bid updates to management
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Estimating or Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)
• Leadership ability
• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
• Organizational and communication skills
• Drafting and computer skills
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
• Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating)
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
