About the position

The Interior Home Designer/Sales position at La-Z-Boy involves leading the In-Home Design program, providing personalized design solutions to clients, and driving sales through effective consultations and presentations. This role is crucial in enhancing the design culture within the store and requires a blend of design expertise and sales acumen to meet client needs and achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
• Promote the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program to draft potential design solutions and present customized portfolio presentations.
• Translate the client's lifestyle, taste, and budget into actionable design recommendations.
• Schedule and conduct in-home consultations to understand client's unique needs and vision for their space.
• Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams to improve design culture and overall in-home design performance.
• Collaborate with support teams to ensure flawless execution of operational excellence.
• Ensure proper execution of all existing and new systems and administrative procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years in interior design, with a residential emphasis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and computer-aided design programs.
• Strong interpersonal communication and analytical abilities.
• Goal-oriented with team management and customer service skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
