About the position

The Intermediate Application Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of assigned healthcare applications. This position involves a combination of technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of application workflows to support and improve operational efficiency within the JPS Health Network. The analyst will be responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, implementation, and ongoing support of applications, while also mentoring junior analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and complete service requests for assigned applications and systems.
  • Provide application support by performing workflow assessments and capturing business needs.
  • Write and conduct business requirements and design functional, technical, and workflow-specific solutions.
  • Conduct business requirements reviews and formulate logical statements of business requirements.
  • Configure moderately complex components based on functional requirements.
  • Apply functional knowledge to design and customize workflow systems for client/server applications.
  • Write functional requirements, develop test plans, and address production issues.
  • Follow project and software development methodologies and assist in aligning processes with project needs.
  • Provide ongoing support including resolution of application system incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Formulate and define business scope and objectives through research and understanding of business requirements.
  • Perform functional analysis, requirements definition, and application module configuration and testing.
  • Conduct prototypes, develop functional specifications, and set configuration tables.
  • Identify and resolve gaps in business processes and assist in security/authorization setup.
  • Work as a team player, fostering trust and commitment in a supportive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, clinical field of study, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 plus years implementing or supporting healthcare clinical or business applications.
  • If required, obtain current certification in assigned application(s) (e.g., Epic certification).

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 plus years of related experience in a healthcare environment.
  • License or Federal Registry in relevant healthcare field.
