About the position

We are looking for a critical thinking and motivated architectural/interior designer to join our small team. We are a boutique architecture and interiors design firm that specializes in high-end private residential, retail, and hospitality projects. Candidates should possess strong CAD and presentation skills as well as demonstrate a knowledge of and enthusiasm for the design process. We value a flexible, open, and inquisitive attitude toward design. As we expand, we value team members who are proactive, enthusiastic, and looking to expand their skill set as they grow with our firm. In this role, you will report directly to a principal and will be working on design packages at various stages of development. You will be expected to interpret mood boards and pictorial presentations and translate these into workable building concepts. A strong understanding of space planning, phases of design, and design documentation is essential. You will also be responsible for continuously creating and managing the Sugarhouse back of house and FF&E Revit library as required. Additionally, you will assist the in-house project management team during the construction administration phases.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must have a M.Arch or B.Arch/B. in interior design from an accredited school with three to five years of in-office working experience.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and passionate about design with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must possess strong Revit and AutoCAD skills and a working knowledge of Adobe programs including Photoshop and InDesign, as well as Word and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, phases of design, and design documentation.
