Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams in developing AI and HLT solutions.
• Analyze language processing needs and recommend innovative solutions.
• Prototype HLT systems or components based on operational mission needs.
• Evaluate technology solutions in the context of mission data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Convey complex ideas to non-technical audiences through briefings and white papers.
• Lead projects or small teams to solve complex HLT problems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, linguistics, or related disciplines; or a Master's degree in the same fields.
• Knowledge and experience in prototyping/developing human language technology components/systems.
• Ability to apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to language processing challenges.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Demonstrated recent experience with large language models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior work experience or internships in AI/HLT relevant areas.
• Hands-on experience in the development/prototyping of HLT systems or components.
• Active DOD security clearance.
