About the position

Jacobs is seeking a motivated Intermediate Design Architect to join our growing team of multi-discipline professionals. This role is integral to delivering outstanding program management, planning, design, and construction management services to our clients in the Northwest and across the globe within our Cities and Places Team. The position is based in Boise, Idaho, and offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that shape the built environment. As an Intermediate Design Architect, you will support the Project Architect in preparing designs, completing construction documents, and writing up building plans. Your responsibilities will include collaborating on design projects, brainstorming project ideas, and completing design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. You will also assist in reviewing project proposals, ensuring that you remain a part of the process from conception through development. In this role, you will coordinate project details, including specifications and dimensions, and assist with initial project research while outlining project schedules and tasks. Effective communication is key, as you will be responsible for liaising with contractors to monitor project progress, communicating with clients to note their requests, answer their questions, and provide project updates. Additionally, you will assist in creating project proposals and completing construction paperwork for buildings, developing detailed plans and shop drawings using Autodesk software such as AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture).
  • Demonstrated experience as an Intermediate Design Architect in an Architectural or Engineering organization.
  • Working knowledge of model/rendering and design tools (including REVIT, AutoCAD, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
