About the position

We are seeking an intermediate interior designer to join our interiors team and collaborate with our in-house architects on multi-family projects. In this role, you will work with the Interior Design Director to develop creative designs and drive projects from conception to execution. Responsibilities include creating mood boards and layouts, material and FF&E specifications, and construction details. You will collaborate with the interiors team, coordinate with the architecture team, and work closely with project consultants. As an intermediate interior designer, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Interior Design Director to develop design narratives that lead to creative solutions through conceptual studies and space planning. You will assist in the selection of materials and FF+E, develop 3D renderings, walk-throughs, and construction drawings in Revit and Enscape, and prepare presentation boards for client meetings using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Additionally, you will assist in project management tasks such as coordination with consultants, interface with vendors, and management of deadlines. You will also develop BID and construction drawings, assist with construction administration services in answering RFI's and reviewing submittals and shop drawings, and prepare field reports and punch lists. Staying updated on current design trends and industry best practices will be essential to your role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Preferred but not required, NCIDQ certified or NCARB license.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Exceptional design and technical skills.
  • Portfolio showcasing creative design concepts and graphic design sensibility.
  • Portfolio showing solid understanding and experience in construction drawings.
