About the position

Arcadis is seeking an Interior Designer for their Seattle office, focusing on retail design projects. The role requires a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively. The designer will be involved in all aspects of design, including programming, space planning, material selection, and construction administration, while also mentoring junior designers and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work in all aspects of design including programming, space planning, material selections/specifications, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Participate in meetings and present to clients.
  • Manage multiple projects to deliver all phases of the project.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the architectural design process and integrate interior elements effectively.
  • Review preliminary space plans and design concepts for code, accessibility, and functional requirements compliance.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals, and respond to RFIs.
  • Coordinate and issue document revisions.
  • Produce innovative design concepts that meet client and project needs while respecting the project budget.
  • Contribute to and develop solutions to technical and design problems.
  • Conceptualize and describe design ideas through 3D visualization, including graphics.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in interior design.
  • 5-8 years' relevant interior design experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in REVIT is required.
