About the position

The Intermediate Interior or Architectural Designer position at Lawrence Group in St. Louis is a full-time role that requires a skilled individual with 3-5 years of diverse architectural design experience. The role involves collaborating with clients to implement their brand strategies through various services, including building surveys, due diligence, code analysis, and the creation of architectural construction documents. Additionally, the designer will be involved in space planning, finish selection, design development, and detailing, as well as some construction administration tasks such as shop drawing reviews and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to roll out their brands through building surveys and due diligence.
  • Conduct code analysis and prepare architectural construction documents.
  • Coordinate with engineers and manage permitting services.
  • Engage in space planning, finish selection, and design development.
  • Detail architectural designs and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a commercial design firm using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent design, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of general interior construction methods, materials, details, and standard building codes.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic project management skills including meeting project schedules and deadlines.
  • Experience in client interaction and communication.
