About the position
The Crisis Intervention Specialist at Gratiot Integrated Health Network (GIHN) is responsible for providing crisis intervention services and hospital pre-screening for at-risk consumers. This role offers a flexible schedule, allowing the candidate to choose shifts based on availability, making it ideal for those seeking supplemental income. The position involves collaboration with crisis team members and hospital staff, as well as conducting intake assessments and community outreach activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention services in the community.
- Conduct hospital pre-screening for at-risk consumers.
- Complete intake assessments and chart reviews.
- Engage in community outreach activities.
- Collaborate effectively with crisis team members and hospital emergency department staff.
- Provide coordination and support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis while admitted to the inpatient unit.
Requirements
- Must be a Mental Health Professional (MHP) trained in mental illness or developmental disabilities.
- Must hold a valid Michigan license appropriate to professional degree (e.g., RN, LMSW, LPC).
- Maintain documentation to agency and professional standards.
- Valid Michigan Driver's License required for operating agency vehicles or transporting consumers.
- Successful clearance of criminal and driving background checks.
