About the position

Lumen is offering a fully immersive 10-week summer internship program for students interested in Wholesale Sales within the Customer Success organization. The internship aims to empower interns by providing them with hands-on experience in sales, customer engagement, and collaboration with engineering teams to understand service capabilities. Interns will develop essential skills in account management, communication, and teamwork while contributing to the sales of Lumen's diverse product line.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and lead sales of Lumen's product line such as data, voice, and security.
  • Develop communication skills utilizing various media to contact and engage customers and leads.
  • Collaborate with account managers to achieve individual and team sales goals and revenue retention.
  • Review current billing revenue and engage in upgrade/renewal discussions with customers.
  • Utilize Lumen product libraries to develop and understand wholesale services.

Requirements

  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, with rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
  • Graduating between August 2025 and May 2027.
  • Preferred fields include Business, Marketing, Sales, Telecom, or other related fields.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 - August 8, 2025).
  • US work authorization is required; individuals needing visa sponsorship are not eligible.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical skills.

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation ranging from $22.00 to $35.00 per hour based on education level, geographic location, and experience/qualifications.
