About The Position
Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, is seeking an Accounting and Finance Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work within a vertically integrated company and gain exposure to various aspects of the business related to accounting. The intern will collaborate with company staff to identify solutions to common issues, provide clerical support, and assist with data entry, month-end closings, and reconciliations. Additionally, the intern will learn about and assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, ensuring that the company adheres to necessary regulations and standards. The role requires a professional and courteous attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. The intern must be willing to travel and work away from home when required, as well as work nights and weekends when necessary. Timely and regular attendance is expected, and the intern will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule. The position emphasizes the importance of safety, requiring strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures, as well as company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting from a college or technical school. The intern should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A strong desire to learn and grow within the accounting field is essential for success in this role.
