About the position

The intern will support the US Automated Driving Team in performing validation testing for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), focusing on optimizing both functional and technical characteristics as well as the human-machine interface to meet the needs of US customers. This role provides an opportunity to work in an international environment within a successful global company.

Responsibilities

• Apply market research tools like competitor benchmarking, customer feedback analysis, and customer studies.
• Analyze fleet data to identify new issues, refine requirements, or improve test planning.
• Formulate US specific requirements for ADAS.
• Control the implementation of these requirements into targeted functions and systems through validation tests.
• Define test cases and participate in validation test drives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application.
• Field of study: Engineering, with a concentration in Electrical or Automotive.
• Strong coding/programming skills.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Knowledge of automotive engineering and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Nice-to-haves

• Prior internship and/or relevant work experience.
• Previous work experience within BMW or the automotive industry in the field of embedded electronics or infotainment preferred.
• Languages: English (fluent, oral and written), German desirable.
