About the position

As an AMHS Engineering Intern at Micron Technology, you will support the Automated Material Handling System team in the High Volume Manufacturing Engineering group. This internship focuses on assisting with semiconductor processes and equipment in a state-of-the-art fabrication facility, primarily during the summer months. You will be assigned a project that lasts the duration of your 3-month internship, which will involve training in safety procedures and operations, working in a clean room environment, and presenting your project results at the end of the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Automated Material Handling System team in semiconductor processes and equipment.
  • Assist in product defect investigations and maintenance of tools and processes for R&D experiments.
  • Work with fab tool automation systems and software to address routine automation errors.
  • React to SPC data and investigate/correct causes for SPC notifications.
  • Create Quality Deviation Reports or Engineering Change Notices as needed.
  • Take initiative to move assigned project forward to completion.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor processes and equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a clean room fabrication environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automation systems and software.
  • Knowledge of SPC data analysis.
