About the position

As a Video Editing Intern at Stride, you will assist the Marketing department with various projects aimed at promoting K12-powered schools. Your responsibilities will include organizing footage, creating graphics and motion graphics, editing videos, and supporting social media content creation. This role is crucial in helping prospective parents understand the offerings of K12-powered schools, thereby supporting the company's enrollment goals.

Responsibilities

  • Organize RAW video files and cut video assets in an accessible library.
  • Create and prepare various content and materials as assigned.
  • Execute tasks utilizing various technologies and platforms specific to the business.
  • Provide additional marketing and ideation support to the team as needed.
  • Support creating graphics and videos for social media channels.
  • Submit ideas for Snapchat, TikTok challenge videos, YouTube content creation and strategy, and Facebook Live planning.
  • Provide suggestions on best practices for collecting user-generated content.
  • Assist the team with day-to-day administrative and operational duties as assigned.
  • Assist with developing marketing materials as assigned by the team.
  • Forge strong relationships with internal teams and external organizations.
  • Ensure thorough, timely, and accurate communications.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a higher degree or early career in Film and Television, specializing in editing and post-production management.
  • A natural understanding of story, pacing, and ability to assemble rough cuts.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, and Twitter.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; additional Adobe programs and editing software are a plus.
  • Motion Graphics knowledge and proficiency creating branded titles is a plus.
  • Systematic organization methods and understanding of video file management best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in file naming and organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, meets deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing priorities to deliver and drive results.
  • High level of quality and accountability for work product.
  • Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity, and trust.
  • MS365; Web proficiency.
  • Ability to clear required background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in film production, understanding of production processes.
  • Experience as an assistant editor.
  • Experience with a Social Media Management system, like Sprout Social or Hootsuite.
