About the position

The Project Manager Associate Intern at Leidos will support the Energy Efficiency program team in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, specifically focusing on the MassCEC On-Street Charging Solutions Program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management while contributing to energy efficiency projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects for New Construction Services programs and On-Street Charging Solutions Program.
  • Facilitate customer participation in the New Construction program.
  • Communicate technical issues across the project team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain project documentation and status reports using CRM tools.
  • Assist in quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet specified standards.
  • Support special projects related to the WELL Building Standard, renewable energy, battery storage, and EV infrastructure opportunities.
  • Perform utility pre and post installation inspections as needed.
  • Provide insights and suggestions for process improvements based on internship experiences.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Experience in project management-related activities or work.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, particularly using Excel.
  • Valid driver's license and physical ability to perform field verification of energy efficiency measures.
  • Self-starter with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Energy Efficiency program design and delivery.
  • Experience working in teams, including participation in varsity athletics.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Teams, SharePoint, and CRMs such as Salesforce.
  • Availability to work 10-18 hours per week during the school year and potentially more during summer and breaks.
