The Bilingual Community Engagement & Marketing Intern will work closely with the Best Friends Community Marketing Team and the Best Friends Pet Resource Center Community Outreach staff to develop and implement various community engagement and marketing strategies aimed at building local relationships within the Spanish-speaking community in Northwest Arkansas. This role is essential in promoting the no-kill movement and utilizing the Pet Resource Center to meet the needs of pet lovers in the area. The intern will be integrated into the larger Best Friends Community Marketing and Pet Resource staff teams, attending weekly meetings and receiving coaching and support from their supervisor. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn from a national organization while actively serving the local community. The position is hybrid, requiring a mix of in-person work at the Best Friends Pet Resource Center, community engagement activities, and some remote work. The intern will be expected to commit a minimum of 15 hours per week for six months, with flexible dates between October 2024 and June 2025. There is potential for additional hours based on the team's needs and the intern's availability. This role is particularly suited for students seeking college credit, as it provides hands-on experience in community engagement and marketing within a non-profit setting focused on animal welfare.
