About the position

The Intern - Civil & Structural Engineer position at Linde Engineering North America LLC involves participating in civil and structural engineering efforts, focusing on the preparation of deliverables for procurement, fabrication, and construction packages. The role includes performing engineering analysis and calculations for industrial structures under the guidance of a senior engineer, preparing specifications, compiling bid packages, and coordinating with procurement and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in civil and structural engineering discipline efforts in the preparation of deliverables for procurement, fabrication, and construction packages.
• Perform engineering analysis and calculations for civil and structural designs for industrial structures under the direction of a senior engineer.
• Prepare specifications and compile bid packages for foundations, steel structures, and related components.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction from initial quotation to order execution.
• Review vendor and shop drawings for civil and structural disciplines.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Interest in the Industrial Gas Industry and related codes and regulations pertaining to facility design and engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or intention to pursue the attainment of a PE licensure.
• Possess a positive attitude with the ability to adapt work schedule to accommodate project specific needs.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and together with a coach or mentor.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
