About the position

As a Gilead intern, you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company's mission but will allow you to gain real-world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world. This internship is designed to provide you with the opportunity to engage in various aspects of commercial operations, particularly focusing on social media strategies. You will be involved in developing social campaign briefs for both paid and organic efforts in partnership with the brands, helping to create and implement organic social media strategies aimed at building and engaging our online community. This role will also require you to report on social media performance metrics, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data to inform new and innovative campaign approaches. Additionally, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest social trends, tools, and best practices within the pharmaceutical industry. At the conclusion of your internship, you will showcase your work with a final presentation, allowing you to demonstrate the skills and insights you have gained during your time with us. This internship will not only provide you with practical experience but also the chance to participate in special events, including professional development and leadership presentations, social/network building activities, and local community volunteer programs. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of social campaign briefs for both paid and organic efforts in partnership with the brands.
  • Help develop and implement organic social media strategies to build and engage our online community, increase followers, and drive traffic.
  • Report on social media performance metrics from quantitative and qualitative perspectives to inform new and innovative campaign approaches.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social trends, tools, and best practices within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Showcase your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Masters / MBA program at an accredited US based university or college.
  • Must be a Graduate or Doctoral Student.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall semester after the completion of the internship.
  • Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August.
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred Degree qualification: Graduate / MBA / PhD / PharmD.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to identify issues and seek solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
