About the position

The Intern - Copywriter position at Lumen offers students an immersive 10-week summer internship program designed to explore digital innovation and enhance writing skills. Interns will work closely with various teams to create compelling content that aligns with the Lumen brand voice, while also gaining valuable industry experience and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a core member of the Copy team, collaborating with UX, Video, Design, and Project Management.
• Generate strong, results-driven concepts from creative briefs.
• Champion and implement the Lumen brand voice in all content.
• Present ideas to peers, mentors, and managers.
• Deliver final creative that meets strategic objectives.
• Coordinate across groups to create content for web, digital, video, and social media.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of work.
• Edit and proofread content to maintain high editorial standards.
• Stay updated on trends and competitors in the editorial sphere.

Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university.
• Rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
• Graduating between August 2025 and May 2026.
• Strong writing skills and high-level creative thinking.

• Preferred fields of study include English, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, and Media Studies.
