About the position

Dominion Energy's Insider Threat Program is a well-coordinated, cross-functional approach to enterprise-wide risk mitigation. As an intern, you will engage in a continuous improvement process designed with specific measures to raise employee awareness and provide best practice security measures. You will help implement policies that drive risk mitigation and, when required, support investigations of insider threats in a consistent and confidential manner. In addition to these responsibilities, you will support the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC), Dominion Energy's core 24/7/365 operations center for Physical Security. The PSOC serves as the operations hub for the Dominion Energy Security Response Centers (SRC). As part of the Threat Response and Analysis Center (TRAC), you will collaborate with the Technical Security Team to implement technical physical security solutions for Dominion Energy facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing security measures to mitigate insider threats.
  • Support the creation and dissemination of employee awareness programs.
  • Help implement policies and procedures that drive risk mitigation.
  • Provide support for investigations of insider threats, ensuring confidentiality and consistency.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with social media.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or 2026.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
