Intern Customer Service Associate / MML

About the position

This is a full-time Internship position based out of the corporate office of Bay & Bay Transportation, located in Eagan, MN. The Customer Service Associate Intern will support the logistics team by assisting with tasks like order processing, shipment tracking, and customer communications while gaining practical experience in the field. This position will be accountable for assisting in freight order data entry, appointment scheduling and working directly with our Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives.

Responsibilities

• Answering customer inquiries and resolving issues via phone, email, and or web based portal
• Provide accurate information about shipments, delivery times and order entry
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary
• Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers
• Obtain and schedule daily pickup and delivery appointments with customers, shippers and receivers
• Registering customer orders (logistics needs) into our computer system with accurate, timely information
• Problem Resolution
• Building and maintaining relationships with existing customers
• Assist with other tasks/ projects as needed and assigned

Requirements

• Enrolled in a College degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or equivalent work experience
• Highly motivated, with a strong desire to resolve issues & provide a high-quality customer experience
• Desire to work in a high energy, dynamic environment
