About the position

Lumen is offering a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in digital innovation, specifically within the Mass Markets organization as a Data Engineer intern. The role focuses on building machine learning models, developing data pipelines, and creating innovative AI applications, while supporting digital channels for mass market customers. This internship is designed to empower students and help them reach their full potential, contributing to the long-term success of Lumen and its customers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or graduate level education status at the start of the internship
• Graduating August 2025 - May 2027
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excel and PowerPoint
• Expertise in Python
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Knowledge of Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP
• Familiarity with React.Js and Node.Js
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program
