About the position

Lumen is offering a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in digital innovation, specifically within the Mass Markets organization as a Data Engineer intern. The program aims to empower interns by providing hands-on experience in building machine learning models, developing data pipelines, and creating innovative AI applications, all while supporting the digital channel for mass markets customers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or graduate level education status at the start of the internship
• Graduating August 2025 - May 2027
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excel and PowerPoint
• Expertise in Python
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Knowledge of Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP
• Familiarity with React.Js and Node.Js
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program
