About the position
The Data Science Intern will support the business intelligence team by providing expert analysis and assistance on corporate priority projects focused on efficiency, reporting, documentation, and process improvements. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the banking sector while developing professional and interpersonal skills. The position is part-time, requiring 10-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours during the summer, and is based in Michigan City, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze and update lists for various departments.
- Collaborate with retail and commercial departments to build and update dashboards.
- Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.
- Complete required training associated with job function.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree with major or minor in finance, data science, statistics, or a related field.
- Must be a sophomore or junior at the start of the internship.
- Experience required in Tableau or Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
