About the position

In your new role as an Intern - DC/DC Power Supply Application Engineer, you will have the opportunity to support product go-to-market activities specifically for Datacenter applications. This includes working on both isolated and non-isolated DC/DC applications, where you will be involved in product validation testing. You will also engage in reference and evaluation board design, testing software tools, and firmware verification, as well as writing application documentation. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the digital revolution that is shaping our world. As part of your responsibilities, you will be expected to collaborate with a team of engineers and contribute to various projects that require a solid understanding of both analog and digital circuits. You will gain practical experience with bench test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal cameras. Additionally, you will have the chance to work on high-frequency, high-current, and high-density DC/DC designs, enhancing your lab skills for testing and debugging switch mode power supplies. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support product go-to-market activities for Datacenter applications.
  • Assist in Telecom isolated and non-isolated DC/DC applications including product validation testing.
  • Engage in reference and evaluation board design and testing.
  • Verify software tools and firmware, and write application documentation.

Requirements

  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 8-12 weeks during the internship.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuits and measurement techniques.
  • Experience with bench test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal cameras.
  • Some experience in high-frequency, high-current, high-density DC/DC designs.
  • Basic PCB design and layout expertise.
  • Self-learning, self-disciplined, and a good team player.
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written forms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with basic EE design simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and lab equipment.
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external engineering communities.
